Halliday Family Estate is a family affair. They drop into our portfolio every vintage with their exceptional, very limited Pinot Noir. Their aim was to make wines that they are excited to share with friends, family, and visitors. Wines that bring people together, stimulate the senses, and help create lasting memories. A perfect fit for Bacchant.
Now in their 5th vintage, the previous wines have all been well received. Ben & Lisa Halliday are excited for you to experience these hands on and well-groomed wines. As a small boutique vineyard they tailor each wine to optimise what that year’s vintage has provided. By caring for the land, being it’s guardian for the future, creating wines for others to enjoy and taking pride in what they do, each bottle of Halliday Wine is a unique representation of that process and that passion.
With a gentle and humble approach, they select the very best new French oak barriques for 20% to 25% of production for the Pinot Noir. This enables the new oak to tame some of the larger tannins and allows the natural fruit to shine. The fruit is sourced from their own vineyard, Lone Gum Estate, situated in the beautiful Southern Valleys of Marlborough.
